The Client
This firm takes pride in delivering specialist audit and assurance services to their varied client base in the Sydney region. Their office is based in the heart of Sydney CBD and they are looking to grow the team and take on an Audit Manager. They take advantage of their industry specialism to maximise quality and minimise risk disruption and cost for their clients and are highly regarded in the industry. They also offer full flexibility to work from home or from the office (only one day per week required in the office).
The Role
As an Audit Manager, you will join a team of just under 20 staff and report straight to the Directors. They enjoy a flat structure in the office and promote work-life-balance with remote access available. You will manage a number of staff depending on the client and the project you are working on and your main client focus is in AFSL.
The Duties
- Manage and oversee staff & build close internal relationships
- Execute audits for organisations at various size with a focus on AFSL
- Other clients are in Property, Funds, Insurance, Start-ups, non-for-profit, Mining and Manufacturing etc
- Develop audit strategies & drafting of audit plans
- Group audit instructions & documenting control environments
- Review files around technical accounting & audit requirements
- Draft management letters & audit completion reports
- Prepare & review of statutory financial reports
- High level of client service through on-site client visits
The Applicant
- Strong experience in External Audit with some local experience essential
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field
- CA qualification in place or in the process of undertaking
- Experience within AFSL is essential for this position
- Staff management experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
