Description

This is a key role within the business, delivering a first class business partnering service for specific capital and expenditure programmes in line with strategic business objectives. You will drive high quality reporting of performance and controls in relation to the expenditure programme, challenging project leaders and stakeholder and ensure adherence to financial best practice.

Day-to-day tasks will include:

• Business Partnering to understand and communicate performance and business specific issues, providing financial support to non-finance stakeholders
• Deliver insights into capital projects and influence reporting developments for the reporting period and beyond
• Reporting of expenditure vs budget and forecast, providing insights and challenging stakeholders where necessary
• Implement process improvements in key controls and efficiencies supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Taking ownership of new projects as we progress through the reporting period and as the capital programme evolves

Profile

Applications from qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) - ideally newly or recently (1-3 years post qualified experience) are preferred.

Candidates will require strong communication and relationship management skills and the ability to build robust relationships with a variety of key stakeholders.
