Hays Senior Finance have been retained by a leading FMCG/Hospitality SME organisation in the heart of Wiltshire to recruit an experienced commercial accountant to manage a small finance team on a day to day basis and provide financial management support to the experienced Finance Director. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to add significant value to an established and reputable SME and get involved with all aspects of financial management in a hands-on management role.

Your new role
You'll be responsible for;

• Day to day management of the finance team to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Producing management accounts with analysis and presenting to the senior management team
• Ensuring that business systems are efficiently and effectively maintained
• Business partnering and planning with finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Supporting the operation of the monthly payroll
• Ensuring the business is fully compliant with all relevant VAT and tax requirements

What you'll need to succeed
This role requires a fully qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) ideally with 5+ years experience in a busy finance setting. You'll also be/have;

• Excellent computer skills and advanced MS Excel skills (data manipulation from ERP systems)
• Strong analytical skills and great communication skills to present complex financial information
• Experience as a team leader and business partner in a similar environment
