Processing Clerk - Accounts Payable

The Role

Hutchison Ports Port of Felixstowe is Britain's biggest and busiest container port, and one of the largest in Europe. An opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department for a Processing Clerk to provide assistance with the registration of FDRC purchase ledger invoices along with ad-hoc processing of payments, statement reconciliation and other administrative duties across
all company ledgers.

Key Requirements

Ensure all invoices are processed efficiently and in a timely manner.Ensure all payments are made within laid down policies and procedures.Liaise with customers and colleagues over disputed invoices and take all measures to solve the query as promptly as possible.Reconciliation of statements on receipt and after all payment runs.Ensure compliance to all policies, procedures, standard operating procedures and safe
working practices, with recommendations for action and continuous improvement.To provide assistance with the Oracle holds report for all relevant business units. This includes the review of purchase orders and invoices, and subsequently resolution of all holds whether due to price, quantity etc.Any other administrative duties.

Who are we looking for?

Suitable applicants should meet the following criteria:

Experience in working in a customer focused role processing high volumes of work,
ideally within a finance function.Excellent organisation and administration skillsIntermediate level of Word and Excel.Proven ability to work effectively with numbers and data, using pre-prescribed processes.Minimum of three GCES's (or equivalent) Grades A-C, one of which must be Maths.

The role is 37.5 day work Monday - Friday.
