Job Details

As our Financial Controller, you will provide operational and financial insights that will shape the growth of our organization. You will get the freedom in setting up a professional function and advancing our measures to further improve our results.

Client Details

The client is a luxury events venue operating in the hospitality sector. The venue is part of a wider group, operating a diverse array of businesses and this role is an opportunity to progress multiple entrepreneurial ventures, working directly with the CEO.

Description

  • Be in charge of all accounting efforts, including receivables, payables, stock, fixed assets, provisions, etc.
  • Assist with publication of monthly management accounts for use in house, and a quarterly account for submission to the bank
  • Establish and further develop common accounting routines.
  • Provide analysis and supporting information to assist the management team in understanding business performance and decision making.
  • Responsible for forecasting.
  • Accurate and timeous financial commentary to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support and coordinate the external audit of annual accounts.
  • Continuously implement process improvements.
  • To be involved in department budget planning meetings, suggest efficiencies and opportunities, and to liaise with the CEO on projects in the wider group.
  • Provide financial analysis and monitor KPIs.
  • Partner with tax and VAT agencies for the preparation and review of tax returns.

Profile

  • You have a degree in Accounting and strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • You have at least 3-5 years of working experience in this field.
  • You have attention to detail, are accurate and can work with strict deadlines.
  • You're able to work in a high demanding environment.
  • You're a self-starter with an ability to work well independently and within a team.
  • You're a proficient user of MS Excel with strong IT skills.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience working with Xero would be beneficial
  • Own transport is beneficial as the castle is not on a public transport route
