JOB SUMMARY This is a fantastic opportunity for a young person to learn the ins and outs of bookkeeping. This is an entry level position, therefore full training will be provided by the team and our external Accountants.
The role responsibilities will include but not limited to: Uploading purchase invoice receipts to accounting software. Payments of supplier invoices Matching purchase invoices to purchase orders Matching of delivery notes to purchase orders Raising of sales invoices Credit control Bank reconciliation on accounting software Submission of VAT returns Paying and liaising with HMRC for VAT and PAYE Reconciliation of balance sheet control accounts i.e., PAYE, VAT, creditors, debtors, loans Payroll and auto enrolment duties Month end journals including depreciation, accruals and prepayments Preparation of management accounts Adhoc support to the wider administrative & management team
This position has scope to develop with potential to turn into an apprenticeship post kick-start scheme.
SKILLS NEEDED As this is an entry level position, full training will be provided and therefore no experience is needed. However, the successful applicant must be a proactive team player. You must be meticulously organised and be able to organise your time effectively. Computer literate is a must and you must have attention to detail. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take this further into their career later on.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYABILITY SUPPORT Lisa Kettell (Sales and Marketing Director) will work in conjunction with the business' existing HR Consultant. We will provide interview practice mid-way & at the end of the placement. Kickstarters will be provided with sites for CV support & use the East Mids. Chamber resources & digital courses. Monthly 1:1s will be held for each position & each candidate will be assigned a work buddy or mentor for the placement.
