  • The Payroll Clerk will oversee the weekly processing of payroll, evaluating complex payroll issues, ensuring proper protocols are followed.

What the Payroll Clerk will do...
  • Subject matter expert on payroll regulations, errors and policy. Assist payroll supervisor and manager with interpretation and recommendation on legislative or policy changes.
  • Audits various payments processed by the payroll team including bonus payouts, correction of hours, off cycle batch processing, ensuring appropriate overtime rules, deductions, benefits and accruals are applied.
  • Payroll Clerk with initiate, maintain, and release garnishment orders assigned, within compliance standards, accurately and consistently.
  • Researches, responds, ensures courteous and professional follow up to incoming phone calls, emails and resolves cases from the call tracking system in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and monitors payroll reconciliations prepared by the payroll team including validation of hours, earnings, tax deductions, employee deductions and general ledger accounts.
  • The Payroll Clerk will review personnel records to determine names, rates of pay, and occupations of newly hired employees, and changes in wage rates and occupations of employees on payroll.

What the company needs in a Payroll Clerk:
  • 3+ years of full cycle payroll experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel is a PLUS
  • Multi-state payroll processing is a PLUS
  • Payroll Clerk must have experience in Federal/State/Local labor laws
  • Customer Service
  • In-house payroll experience
