My client in Hartford is looking for a contract addition to their accounting department. This is an 8 week assignment and is a great chance to either get back to work quickly or gain industry skillset.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work closely with internal teams as needed to resolve discrepancies and reconcile balances. Tasked with creating reports for all users.
  • Handling all intercompany communication and reconciliations. Report and reconcile all intercompany balances for multiple continents. Create reports and work with all sister companies and affiliates to confirm balances. Continually work to keep all intercompany A/R and A/P current and resolves discrepancies.
  • Assist in the A/P function.
  • Maintain timely and accurate reports including but not limited to Aged Accounts Payable and Process Costs reports.
  • Preparation of required journal entries
  • In conjunction with the month-end close process, prepare and analyze general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring that revenue and expenses are recorded appropriately.
  • Load of monthly and quarterly financial data from ERP System into parent company's consolidation software
  • Assist in daily cash receipt and cash disbursement transactions in the general ledger system when needed.
  • Review bank account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the annual audit and tax compliance process by providing supporting documentation.
  • Assist in the documentation of accounting policies and procedures, including the ability to recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Will participate in other special projects as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, or equivalent work experience of 3+ years.
  • Attention to detail necessary
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Organized and intentional
  • Ability to multitask, placing priority on appropriate tasks
