JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT
Accounting Principals is seeking a entry-level accountant for a year-long contract with a Fortune 500 bank named one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity. This full-time/contract position is currently remote with a hybrid return-to-office scheduled later in the year.
Job Requirements:
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
● General accounting activities, including maintaining general ledger, preparing account statements, and analyzing financial reports.
● Promptly respond to clients and business partners questions about unitized accounting and statements.
● Conduct secondary reviews of Employee Benefit Reporting accounts (client-controlled assets).
● Complete unitized accounting valuations and research unusual activities in accounts.
● Work with management create processes and procedures that drive business and improve customer experience and satisfaction.
● Support team with the mentorship and training of department processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience
● At least 1 year of financial accounting experience
● Good command of accounting, reporting, and analysis
● Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
● Effective communications, verbal and written, skills
● Ability to employ assertive communications to gather information
COMPENSATION : $21.43/hour
SCHEDULE : Mon-Fri, 40 hours/week, 8 AM to 5 PM CST
LOCATION : Milwaukee, WI
WORK TYPE : Fulltime/Contract (one year)
