Our client is a Chartered Accounting firm, which was established in 1980. They maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity while still offering a very personalised and value for money service. They offer a wide range of financial and taxation services and strive to ensure that tax lodgements and company and trust compliances are met. Through their professional team and highly experienced team they can. They provide highly qualified and experienced staff. They are looking for a Bookkeeper/ Administrator to join the close-knit team! This is a 24 week contract role covering a maternity position. Days are Monday through Friday 07:00 - 17:00. They are flexible and open to a 4 day week and open to school hours too. Approximately 32 hours per week. 6 weeks training will be provided from the 1st of November. End date will be 15th April 2022.

Job Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end bookkeeping and statutory reporting and other adhoc duties
  • BAS/IAS - prepare, lodge, manage client list, produce invoices for clients
  • Restore and download/import/export/print reports for MYOB, XERO and Cashflow Manager
  • Collating business and individual accounts and tax returns and run reports using MYOB Connected Ledger
  • Processing clients wages and lodging STP reports using Cashflow Manager
  • Managing the firm's lodgement lists - preparing tax returns and BAS's
  • Preparation of accounts for the Accountants - Reconciliations, journals, adjustments, amended BAS's, PAYG Payment Summaries
Skills and Experience Requirements:
  • 2+ years in a comparable role within an accounting or bookkeeping practice
  • Must have excellent working knowledge of MYOB, Xero or QBO
  • Proficient in MS Office applications -Excel/Word and Handisoft software experience preferred but not essential
  • Highly organized and ability to multitask with a great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Great communication skills and a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment
