Diverse Staffing, recently named a Glassdoor Best Places to Work in 2021, is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Accounts Receivable Specialist to be based at our Corporate Office in Park 100, Indianapolis, IN.The base salary for this position is up to $54,000.00 per year, dependent on level of experience.
As the Accounts Receivable Specialist you will use your credit and collections experience to make a difference by helping to control operations in this area by resolving issues in a proactive manner and by making recommendations to improve departmental efficiencies.
The following represents the essential job functions but is not intended to be fully inclusive of additional job responsibilities that may be assigned by your supervisor as needed.
  • Reviews proposed credit agreements and other documents for compliancy to all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs legal, credit, and trade investigations of proposed new clients.
  • Reviews all proposed lease agreements and other contracts for compliance to all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance to existing Accounting Department staff as needed.
  • Maintain company contract files and systems to ensure all contracts remain within stated terms.
  • Provide assistance to Managing Partner, Chief Financial Officer, and Director of Accounting Services with special projects as assigned and/or required.

Job Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following minimum job requirements to be deemed qualified for the position:
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration) or comparable experience/degree.
  • Minimum of five years prior credit and compliance experience, including contract reviews.
  • Must know and understand the laws governing contract and debt regulation, including but not limited to the Uniform Commercial Code and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to interact in a respectful manner with a diverse population of colleagues and clients; leveraging active listening skills and paying attention to cues from reading their audience,
  • Proven communication skills: able to convey one's message in a clear, concise and professional manner, considering one's audience, in all forms of media (i.e. voicemail, phone, email, face-to-face,) and constructively handles conflicts and disagreements
  • Well organized and proficient multi-tasking capabilities; able to prioritize multiple client job requisitions, software and business processes while remaining compliant with policies and delivering against deadlines,
  • Proven problem-solving skills and analytical abilities;able toidentify important aspects of a problem, gather appropriate information, determine potential causes, and specify alternative solutions,
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
