Your new role

As a finance manager you will be responsible for;

• Providing monthly budget monitoring and preparing the annual budget.
• The processing of all accounting transactions in a timely manner and maintenance of financial records.
• To carry out all financial procedures including payroll transactions, payroll reconciliation, aged debtors, accruals, pre-payments, bank and credit card reconciliations and outstanding Purchase Orders.
• To produce monthly management accounts and budget forecasts.
• To maintain effective financial administration systems.
• To provide support to both internal and external auditors.
• The management of the school's local bank account.
• To line manage the Finance Assistant.
• Give guidance to staff in relation to all payroll queries including tax and pension, liaising with the appropriate outside service provider where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualification

• CIMA, ACCA,or ACA

Skills & Experience

• Good working knowledge of current accounting software systems.
• Experience of Analysing
• Data Experience of reporting
• Experience of developing databases and spreadsheets
• Experience of leading/managing a team

• Able to prepare monthly management accounts from trial balance
• Ability to maintain and manage the aged creditors' report
• Able to reconcile suppliers statements to the Accounts Payable balances
• You will be able to complete quarterly VAT return and make necessary adjustments

• Knowledge of management systems for all accounting functions including purchase ledger, sales ledger, payroll, cash and banking, nominal ledger and stock. Knowledge of all year end procedures
• Knowledge of recording and reconciling income and updating system user records where required for cash received other than via the cash loaders

• Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
