The client is a global organisation, that specialise in the manufacturing and production of luxury (men's and women's) fragrances. The head office is based in the West End (Paddington) and they are looking for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Client Details

The client manufactures & distributes both men's and women's fragrances across the world. They are opening up a new brand in the United States, and they are looking for a Management Accountant that can help kick-start and manage the brand's finances. They will also look to build a team underneath them after a few months, and they will be reporting to the Group Finance Manager. The business is growing massively and they are looking for a confident candidate to take full control of the management accounts.

Description

The successful Management Accountant will:

• Month end / Year end
  • Oversight of the general ledger (US GAAP)
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and journals
  • Inter-company reconciliations
  • Month-end reporting package and budget processes
  • Assist with Audit requests

• Inventory and production, in collaboration with the cost controller
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • COGS analysis
  • Gross Margin analysis by customer

• Bank
  • weekly cash flow reports
  • Review and Submission of payments run

• Receivables
  • Ensure all customers are invoiced in due time
  • Cash collection

• Payables
  • Review of A/P invoices booked in the system (GL, coding, analytics,,…)
  • Validation of raised POs (fixed assets, from an accounting perspective)

• Fixed assets
  • Fixed asset management (FA register, capitalization, depreciation,…)

• Taxes
  • Sales tax returns control
  • Tax compliance
  • Coordination with our tax experts in our countries of operation

• Others
  • Assist in Netsuite developments
  • Management of the Accountant assistants with duties: purchase ledger, bank reconciliation, credit cards reconciliation, Ageing reports

Profile

The successful Management Accountant will:

• Part qualified with experience with strong management and financial accounting knowledge
• Flexibility to work with time zone difference (UK/USA)
• US GAAP accounting
• Highly proficient at accounts preparation and financial analysis to get things right first time with attention to detail
• Confident IT user - Strong Excel skills
• Experience in a SME and international business
• Oracle Netsuite experience
• Multitasking and open to additional responsibilities
• Pro-activity and problem-solving attitude
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and exercise judgement
• Respect of strict deadlines and processes
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Job Offer

• £45,000 - £50,000
