What You'll Do

The candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Review process and system changes/requirements to stay in sync with GST rules. Work with IT, Tax or other cross functional teams to resolve issues.
- Reconciliation of books of accounts (US GAAP & IGAAP) with India GST returns for multiple registrations/locations of various Cisco India entities.
- Review Trial Balance for each state and do necessary accounting for closing the books.
- Review input received from Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable team for the GST returns.
- Review intercompany and other input provided by the team for GST returns.
- Lead and drive Monthly and Annual GST returns. Liaise with Auditors for the required certification.
- Review and drive closure of open items between books and GST returns.
- Participate in month end book closure, statutory audits and other compliance activities
Who You'll work with:
- You will be part of Cisco Global Accounting and Reporting (GAR) team, which is committed to being a valued Finance business partner focusing on controllership oversight, delivery of accounting services and compliance assurance.
- You will collaborate seamlessly with partners, internal COEs, stakeholders like Tax, Legal, compliance and other relevant functions.
Who You Are:
- A qualified Chartered Accountant with minimum of 5-6 years' experience
- Hands on experience in Indirect taxes.
- Exposure to GL accounting, reconciliation of VAT/ Service tax returns to books of accounts.
- Audit assurance experience in handling & completion of audits of large US MNC subsidiaries in IT/Telecom industry and/or other industry experience of first hand on exposure of statutory audit and tax audit.
- Adept and comfortable working through matrix organizations with controllership and compliance goals.
- Teamwork, collaboration, partner management and project management.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present data as meaningful information to leadership teams as well.
- Communicate optimally internal teams & external partners
- Hands on knowledge of Oracle Financials ERP, Microsoft XL, PPT, Word and other office tools
