Management Accountant
Ilkeston
£30-35k depending on experience
Fantastic opportunity to join our client in Ilkeston in the position of Management Accountant reporting to the Finance Controller.
Our client are completely open to considering talented qualified by experience Management Accountants as well as candidates who are studying and seeking that first Management Accountant opportunity. Most important is a can do and positive attitude and the enjoyment of a varied role within a fast paced SME. This role will hold responsibility for the management accounts for the division of our clients business, some further detail is listed below:

- Production of management accounts
- Cash Book Maintenance
- Variance analysis / Margin Analysis
- VAT returns / statutory reporting
- Reconciliations including Ledger, bank and balance sheet
- Support to ledger team during month end reporting

It would be ideal if you have a similar background to this. You will also need excellent analysis skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to produce a strong calibre of work. You will work closely with key budget holders across the business so you will also have strong interpersonal skills. If you are keen on the opportunity to progress then this could be a great role, in the short term you will certainly support the FC very closely with day to day activities, covering for them when out of the business. Longer term there are some very exciting opportunities across our clients group, ideally suited to a candidate keen to develop through the ranks. The position gives you full ownership of all aspects of Management Accounts for this division, you will be working as part of a fantastic team, there is some flexibility for you to work from home too. (living close to ilkeston would be super for those commuting days).
