Purpose & Accountabilities Finance Operations (FO) contributes to the Shell's aspiration of becoming the world's most competitive and innovative energy company by promising to deliver sustainably, benchmark externally, and continue to achieve world class end to end performance in the five processes we operate in. FO plays a vital role in enabling the delivery of Finance Functional excellence to Shell. In this influential role, you'll enjoy great insight into Shell's decision making, and exposure to a wide range of projects. For accounting or finance professionals, it's a potential stepping stone to a future finance leadership role with us. What's the role? You'll join a team of consultants within the global financial modelling group who provide valuation and modelling services to the Shell Group of companies, ensuring end to end deal support, check integrity of the financial and economic models that support our key business decisions. Our gamut of services is spread across the globe. You would be expected to provide Finance and Valuation expertise in support of deal delivery within the remit of the Acquisition, Divestment & NBD team (Corporate M&A, Acquisition, Divestment, NBD, Exploration), aiming to generate sustainable value and drive strategic portfolio changes through the Energy Transition, by delivering innovative, integrated commercial deals, from inception to successful completion. You will also support Shell's non-deal businesses and functions globally across streams on a project basis gaining an overview of the entire organization. In your role, you will get an opportunity to support on real time projects being evaluated by the firm for various decision making. You can look forward to contributing to the team's work in the following areas: . Consulting directly with Shell businesses to design and build financial and economic models in line with Shell Excel best practice standards to support deals, investment, business agility and growth decisions. . Carrying out independent assurance of model integrity by evaluating their logic and calculations, identifying potential errors and risk . Reviewing and updating generic Shell standardized models periodically . Raising awareness on risks around using financial and economic models by providing training across the finance and non-finance communities globally to standardize modeling practices, drive assurance and continuous improvement, and knowledge exchange. . Developing relationship with business partners / stakeholders across businesses / functions to comprehensively understand their areas of operation and facilitate value adds beyond the scope of financial modeling, . Aiming to bring in external/third party view on enhancing business outcomes aligned with what is happening in the external competitive market. Skills and Requirements - What we need from you 1. Well-rounded finance professional (MBA, CFA, CIMA, ACCA etc.) with 4-5 years' experience years in business finance (preferably with experience in financial modelling, equity research, transaction support, and investment analysis). Should be able to demonstrate good technical, financial economics and / or commercial understanding. 2. Economic and financial modelling (Excel spreadsheet) experience is essential 3. Intermediate technical knowledge in Corporate Finance, Valuation, Financial Analysis would be needed. 4. Project management skills - track record of prioritizing and delivering your own workload. 5. Stakeholder management - influencing, advising, and challenging others - is an important part of the job. 6. Problem solving mindset with the courage to ensure professional financial rigor is applied to decision-making process. 7. Good written, verbal communication skills and be able to hold discussions with senior leaders 8. Good analytical aptitude, and ability to ask questions 9. Strong collaboration & interpersonal skills. 10. Actively promote the sharing of knowledge within the group 11. Be organized and structured in the completion of tasks 12. Business expertise preferably in the Energy businesses would be an advantage
