PURPOSE

The purpose of the Lead Change Navigation role is to oversee the Change Navigation process, establish and maintain the capability within the EPMO. This process focuses on the people side of change and looks to ensure the standardisation and sustainability of the change and embedding change within the organisation and for industry clients.

By providing subject matter expert input to Project and Programme Managers as well as guidance to business change representatives, the role assists with ultimately realising the benefits as identified in business cases.

The purpose of navigating change is to implement strategies for effecting the desired change, directing change and assisting stakeholders to adapt to change.

Through the identification, defining, implementation and monitoring of change initiatives, impacted stakeholders will be enabled to successfully transition from their current state to a future state. This guided process will maximise adoption and minimizing resistance, thereby enabling improved benefits realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

The goals of change navigation are to:
  • Define the organisational change required to convert outputs into benefits
  • Ensure the organisation is ready to implement change
  • Implement the change and embed it into organisational practice

The Lead Change Navigation will lead the Change Navigation capability within the EPMO and drive the consistent application of the process within other Divisions as per the Federated operating model

Important Contacts Relevant To The Position:
  • Bank and corporate clients - Manage Change Navigation delivery relationship and alignment to stakeholder expectation
  • Regulatory bodies - Ensuring required compliance
  • Auditors and consultants - Governance and assurance alignment within the Change Navigation space
  • Internal, Bank and Service Provider Programme and Project Managers- Oversee the Change Navigation process and ensure standardised approach together with providing SME input
  • Management and Executive Management - Create visibility of Change Navigation activities by providing a consolidated view across the EPMO and act as a coach for leaders to fulfil their role of change sponsor
  • Business Units/Divisions - Oversee the Change Navigation process, drive consistency and provide SME input


RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
  • Providing subject matter expert input to Project and Programme Managers to assist in the defining of the change approach based on assessing the type of change taking place
  • Providing guidance and oversight on the Change Navigation process to Divisions to ensure a consistently applied process throughout
  • Reviewing Change Navigation Plans drafted by Project and Programme Managers and providing feedback
  • Providing guidance and oversight to Project and Programme Managers on the monitoring of Change Navigation Plans to ensure the desired results are being achieved
  • Consolidating Change Navigation plans at a Programme and Portfolio level
  • Evaluating the change impact and organisational readiness to limit potential risk
  • Evaluating the risk of change and providing actionable guidelines on reducing the impact
  • Reporting on Change Navigation activities and benefits realised
  • Evaluating potential resistance to adopting the change
  • Supporting and coaching leaders in being change sponsors
  • Effectively managing stakeholder relationships

  • Manage and control individual and relevant intervention, project and programme costs

QUALIFICATION AND KNOWLEDGE (INCLUDING THE MOST RELEVANT)
  • Bachelor degree
  • Change Management certification
  • Required computer literacy levels in the MS Office suite
  • No direct reports, many years industry experience and deep specialist registered professional
  • Member of professional forum
  • Eg. Infrastructure specialist, legal adviser
  • Further qualifications and/or in-depth experience within area of specialty
  • Application for functional improvement
  • Applies best practice
  • Knowledge and skills transfer

EXPERIENCE (INCLUDNG THE MOST RELEVANT INDUTRY SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in Change Navigation
  • Experience in Payments and Banking industry will be an advantage
  • Experience in leading Change Navigation
  • Experience in facilitating meetings and consultations with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
  • Experience and knowledge of change principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Effective communication skills
