Client Overview
My client is a successful, boutique fund manager with an impressive track record. Based on the CBD fringe, they now have an exciting opportunity to join their corporate offices, working directly with the CFO as an Accountant.

Role Overview

Working directly with the CFO, your role will be both hands-on and broad. Key responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

• Month end (including bank reconciliations, general ledger journals, balance sheet reconciliations and BAS preparation);
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ;
• Assist with cash-flow forecasting;
• Assist with yearly statutory accounts;
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting;
• Assist with the preparation of income tax returns and tax information for investors;
• Ad hoc tasks such as accounting system maintenance and any project work which may arise

Skills & Experience

To successfully secure this role, you will be an experienced accounting professional who can competently (and happily) operate in an end to end and hands on role. You will also have:

• Experience in month end, accounts payable/receivable and taxation (BAS preparation);
• Industry experience in funds management or real estate looked upon favourably or alternatively, you may have gained business services experience in a chartered environment;
• Tertiary Qualification in a relevant field looked upon favourably;
• Post graduate qualifications looked upon favourably however not essential;
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
