Reporting to the Director of Finance, Business Strategy & Performance, this role directly contributes to The Sutherland Hospital (TSH) and Garrawarra Centre meeting its financial management obligations and the effective implementation of finance systems to deliver efficiencies and to support the reliability, integrity and accuracy of financial information. The position will be responsible for the provision of management accounting services including efficiency planning and financial performance monitoring for Finance, and aged care services within the Garrawarra Centre and Sutherland Hospital. Selection Criteria
A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Commerce and/or meet the requirements to be a member of a recognised Australian professional accounting body such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), CPA Australia (CPA), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA) or any other professional body deemed appropriate. Extensive experience in management accounting. Significant experience and skills using a recognised Financial Management Information System in a large organisation. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills and experience in liaison and negotiation at all levels and with a wide range of stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to develop business cases, enhancement proposals, business plans and briefs. Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and capacity to interpret financial and non- financial data (such as activity and full time equivalent data). Demonstrated understanding of hospital funding methods using activity based funding. Comprehensive knowledge and management responsibilities for aged care funding.
