Optimus Private Clients is not your traditional Firm. Our division works closely with sophisticated business owners and investors providing investment, private equity and accounting services to high-net-worth clients and act as a Family office for all their needs.

You will be joining a dynamic team of qualified Accountants and Financial Advisors at the top of their game. This is a great opportunity to learn for an Accountant with at least 3 years' experience to learn from the best and be exposed to a full range of accounting and financial services.

The Opportunity:

Your main objective will be to provide hands-on taxation and business services support to both high-net-worth clients and SME clients.

Working Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Preparation of financial statements, tax returns and activity statements for Companies, Partnerships, Trusts, Superannuation Funds, and Individuals
  • Assisting our team and clients by checking or completing reconciliations of accounts including fixed asset registers, accounts payable/receivable and payroll accounts
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements and other GST or payroll obligations
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office and other regulatory agencies
  • Attending to various client correspondence
  • Contributing towards business improvements &
  • Supporting team members in other areas of the business.
To be considered for this great role you will have:
  • A minimum of 3 years prior experience in a professional practice environment
  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent
  • Be CA or CPA Qualified or working towards
  • An eagerness to learn and a knowledge of accounting and taxation
  • Experience with Xero, Class, BGL, MYOB, and Hubdoc is desirable
  • Have a strong work ethic and enjoy working hard
  • Effective and well-developed communication skills
  • Attention to detail when completing all tasks and a strong client focus &
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
