Senior Accountant role working for a Mid-tier Firm in South Perth
THE COMPANY
Our client is a well-established Mid-tier Accounting firm that has been around for more than 30 years and has won numerous awards for their outstanding services. They recently achieved a very high ranking in the AFRs top 100 accounting firms in 2020 and specialise in a variety of different services including Tax, Business Advisory, Acquisitions, Super and Audit.
Their focus is on making sure they help their clients every step of the way and do all they can to ensure their clients are as successful as they can be. They offer a range of services tailored specifically to fulfil these varying demands. As a complete financial services firm, they are able to draw upon their accounting, tax, audit, superannuation and financial planning divisions to develop a holistic approach to meeting clients needs.

There is plenty of scope to progress up to become a Manager and eventually a Partner in the future and their client base ranges from high net wealth individuals, primary producers, property development, health and legal to some major corporations.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies and trusts, partnerships & individuals
- Prepare, oversee and advise on BAS, FBT, GST, Payroll Tax and statutory reporting requirements
- Assisting with tax planning, entity setups etc
- Assist to manage client relationships
- Liaise effectively with external and internal stakeholders
- Mentor and review work for junior members of staff
- Ensure workflow efficiency, accuracy and deadlines are met
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
- Will need to have 5+ years' experience in a similar role
- Be working towards or completed your CA
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
