    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the CFO, the Director of Accounting is responsible for the overall management of the company's accounting and financial control functions. These include the functional areas of accounting, the overall month-end close and reporting process, cash management. The Director will be responsible for designing world-class financial systems and controls that can support the rapid revenue growth of our Company, implementing a rapid close that allows the preparation and analysis of operating results for management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-growing environment where a combination of strategic leadership as well as "hands on" management will position the finance group ahead of the company growth curve.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee monthly financial close and reporting process. This includes the functional areas of General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory, A/R, A/P, Fixed Assets, Payroll, Cash and Consolidations.
    • Evaluate and recommend corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls that meet GAAP and internal control requirements.
    • Lead the monthly and quarterly closing process company-wide, with an emphasis on driving improved business processes supported by efficient internal systems and system enhancements.
    • Responsible for the monthly review of financial results and variance analysis as compared to forecast and plan.
    • Provide guidance and advice to management for assessing financial and accounting issues related to new business strategies.
    • Efficiently manage external auditors and the audit process. Work jointly with CFO to lead Audit Committee meetings.
    • Effectively manage and mentor the accounting team.
    • Provides ad hoc support to the CFO as needed.


Job Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:
  • The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years related experience in financial management positions.
  • BS/BA degree in accounting or related field, MBA preferred.
  • CPA, with Big Four accounting/auditing experience is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior analytical and organization skills.
  • Proven record of building world-class finance teams.
  • Solid GAAP knowledge
  • Must be an energetic individual of the highest integrity, who is both a good listener who can seek input from others yet be decisive in their decision making.
  • Past experience in a rapidly growing company a plus.
