*Enters, reviews, maintains, processes, and reconciles weekly payroll information within and between the Heavy Construction / Sage / and ADP payroll systems. Such information may include applicable analysis of employee hourly rates, state jurisdictional and work class union rates, state jurisdictional and work class prevailing wage rates, layoff and termination processing checks, bonus compensation, allocation of hourly time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
*Ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll information including new hires, terminations, layoffs, pay rate adjustments, and/or payroll related benefit and fringe processing.
*Reconciles payroll between various payroll systems with the general ledger system, inclusive of performing monthly bank and account reconciliations
*Issue random payroll checks or direct deposits, as required timely for employee layoff or discharge.
*Records, reports, and reconciles all applicable federal, state, and local payroll tax deposits.
*Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
*Performs other duties as assigned.

*Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Proficient with ADP Workforce Now (or equivalent) software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Sage (or equivalent) general ledger software.
*Strong fundamental understanding of payroll processing systems and job cost workflow.

*High school diploma (coupled with strong applicable work experience).
*Business or Accounting Degree preferred.
*Five years combined work experience in accounting/bookkeeping including at least two years experience within payroll processing.
