Job Details
My client who is in the food manufacturing sector is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their fast-growing business. We are looking for an individual who has strong team management experience who is either a qualified member or with a completed degree with solid understanding and experience in the management and supervision of a finance department.
Responsibilities:
- Management and supervision of accounts department
- Fixed Asset Register and monthly depreciation
- Current asset management, including debtor’s collections
- Foreign Currency Revaluation
- Ensuring all balance sheet accounts are reconciled
- Preparing and managing of all financial audits
- Cash flow management
- Producing annual budgets and forecasts
- Cash flow management
- Ensuring international tax compliance
- Management of the financial aspects
Requirements:
- Financial/Accounting degree is required – CA(SA) / CIMA advantageous
- At least five years working experience in finance
- Proven track record at a senior financial level in manufacturing (food manufacturing highly advantageous)
- Ability to manage and develop staff
- Strong financial management skills
- The ability to provide financial information for strategic business decisions
- The ability to implement accounting standards and accepted business practices in financial reporting
- The ability to produce and deliver accessible and informative financial reports on tight deadlines
- Computer literacy with strong Excel skills is essential
- Knowledge of XERO and SimplePay systems highly advantageous
