Job Details

As a Bookkeeper, you will report into the Financial Controller, responsible for managing the bookkeeping for a small portfolio of entities for the business.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: maintaining sales and purchase ledger; VAT returns; posting transactions and bank reconciliations; processing of expenses.

Description

The duties of the Bookkeeper are:

  • Reporting into the Manager to enable smooth functioning of costing process
  • Full process payroll
  • Validating invoices with proof of deliveries, purchase order and quotations
  • Checking VAT's are completed in sufficient time
  • Generating reports for stock, sales, aged debt etc.
  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of monthly end
  • Maintaining company's purchase ledger on accounts system.
  • Credit control duties chasing overdue debt and ensuring age debt is kept to a minimum
  • Sales ledger management
  • Setting up new suppliers onto the system
  • Record all transactions and post debits (costs) and credits (income)

Profile

The Bookkeeper must have the below skills:

  • A team player
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to follow instruction and work to tight deadlines
  • Good written and oral skills
  • Computer literate including Excel
  • Able to multi-task
