Nigel Wright Group are delighted to be supporting a fast growing business in their search for a newly qualified Accountant, they will also consider someone who is almost due to complete their studies too. This role will report into the Financial Controller and will be responsible for taking ownership of the monthly financial statements to support the senior management team to review and provide narrative on performance as required.

This role will report into the Financial Controller and will be responsible for taking ownership of the monthly financial statements to support the senior management team to review and provide narrative on performance as required.
Duties and Responsibilites
- Assisting with the month end process for all designated areas of the P&L and balance sheet on the allocated division, providing suitable reporting and additional analysis to the Senior Management Accountant, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Reviewing trends, comparing actual performance against budgets and provide detailed support for any significant variances.
- Develop working relationships with applicable staff at all sites and within the finance team to ensure all necessary information flows operate to enable production of the management accounts.
- Be proactive and contribute to the process improvements at all levels to increase the efficiency and quality of all aspects of the accounting and reporting functions.
- Playing a key role in the coaching and development of assistant level staff, to maximise their contribution to the team.
- Produce routine and ad hoc analysis and reports as required for the senior management accountants and the Group Financial Controller and contribute to the wider department initiatives, e.g. budget process, year end audit etc.
- Assisting with any day to day issues within the wider department.
You will be/have
- You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or working towards your qualification.
- A bright and personable individual who enjoys interacting with the wider business.
- Someone with strong communication skills and able to interact with the wider business and business partner.
- Strong Excel skills for analysis.
