About the Role:
They are looking for an Accountants Assistant or bookkeeper to assist the Principal Accountant with various tasks. You will be responsible for various administration skills related to Accounting & bookkeeping so experience in this area is needed.

Duties:
  • BAS/IAS - prepare, lodge, manage client list
  • Restore and download/import/export/print reports for MYOB, XERO and Cashflow Manager
  • Collating business and individual accounts and tax returns
  • Apply for ABN,GST, TFN,PAYGW registrations with the ATO
  • Run reports using MYOB Connected Ledger
  • Ordering and collating new entities with NTAA
  • Processing clients wages and lodging STP reports using Cashflow Manager
  • Managing the firm's lodgement lists - tax returns and BAS's
  • Preparation of accounts in Handiledger for the Accountants - Reconciliations, journals, adjustments, amended BAS's, PAYG Payment Summaries
  • Attend to client's ASIC requirements - downloading annual company reviews, lodging forms for make any necessary changes.


Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience of working within an accountancy practice would be beneficial
  • Good Understanding of MYOB, Xero, Cashflow Manager & Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of working with ASIC
  • Strong accuracy & attention to detail
  • Strong administration skills
