The successful incumbent will be responsible for organising the despatch of goods, monitoring incoming and outgoing shipments, examining documents with specific reference on the listed items on the paid for red stamp copy tax invoice and ensuring accuracy whilst doing so.
duties and responsibilities:
- Despatch and receiving procedure - Despatch stock items to clients and couriers; Receiving stock items; Check stock items against invoice; Ensure items are checked off Collection Manager (Liaise with pickers); Ensuring that the despatching process is conducted according to the rules set out by the business; Issuing and receiving of inter branch transfers.
- Security and hardware - Observing and enforcing general security in the despatch area and warehouse; Responsible for equipment: telephones, laptops, signature pads, etc
- Customer service - Ensuring a pleasant experience whilst assisting clients with their items; Customer query handling and complaints escalate complaints to supervisor/manager if unresolved
- General - Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained in the despatch/warehouse area observe dress code, wear the relevant uniform and name badge
Matric or equivalent
At least 1-3 years Retail experience, despatch/warehousing experience
