Simpson Judge is currently working with an independent practice based in Preston who are looking to appoint an experienced bookkeeper into the team. This is a great opportunity if you are looking to work in a positive environment where you are listened to and able to work independently. They are ideally looking for an individual who is an expert on cloud-based systems as this role will predominantly involve assisting clients on Xero accounting software.

Responsibilities -

• Preparation of VAT returns & dealing with different VAT schemes

• Bookkeeping for a varied client base

• Providing Xero support to clients, setting them up and training them how to use Xero

• Managing and reviewing work from outsourcer

• Payroll preparation

Package -

• £23,000 - £27,000 salary (depending on experience)

Requirements -

• Experience dealing with clients directly

• Experience using Xero software (desirable)
