Job Purpose

The primary responsibility of the VAT-IPT Assistant is to work with the IPT Team to provide assistance on the insurance-related indirect taxes compliance for foreign companies non-established in France.  The VAT-IPT assistant will also assist the VAT Team to provide services to clients in the VAT recovery procedure. S/he is responsible for individual goals and helping to meet the wider departmental goals.

 

Key Responsibility

  • Assistance with the processing of information received from Clients, the completion of monthly IPT declaration and other indirect taxes reports; provides also ad hoc assistance to Clients in relation with the correct application of IPT rules
  • Assistance with the processing of information received from Clients, the completion of EU 13th / 8th Directive VAT refund claims (Quarterly and yearly)
  • Assistance in the completion and submission of tax forms in case of change of company details on behalf of our clients
  • Assistance in the preparation of the answers to request of information from the Public Administrations
  • Assistance for the preparation of the Billing report
  • Liaise with clients and colleagues abroad on daily basis

 

Job specific requirements

  • English C1 level
  • French (any level) is not compulsory but would be a plus
  • Strong analytical and technical skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to handle issues, excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and manage a number of different clients;
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player who has the ability to manage a high personal workload with multiple deadlines and continually strive for improvements in quality and efficiency
  • 1-2 years experiences in similar Organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Pack Office, particularly in Excel.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in accounting
