An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading retail business based in Luxury new offices in Stoke-on-Trent. This company are a market leader in their sector and are currently experiencing a record period of growth making it an excellent time to join the business.
Description
The Assistant Accountant role is initially a 9 month contract which could be extended.
The role will be office based in Stoke with 2 days per week remote working.
You will have the opportunity to look after:
- Processing small volume of invoices
- Engage with suppliers to complete supplier statement reviews on a quarterly basis
- Monthly PO reviews with the business
- Ensure appropriate accruals and prepayment in place
- Provide month end reports and variance analysis
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Deliver process improvements
- Support ad hoc requests from the wider Finance Team
Profile
In order to apply for the role you should:
Be an AAT Studier, AAT Qualified or Accounts & Finance Graduate or Qualified by experience
Have experience of Supplier statement reconciliation
Be confident on Excel to v look up and pivot tables level
Be able to commute to Stoke office (2 days remote working available)
Be able to consider a 9 month contract
