Our client, a well known & growing business based in Southampton is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their Accountancy team

Description

Payroll Administrator - Southampton

• Processing the payroll of client's in the primarily through Xero Payroll.
• Input starters and leavers on to payroll system. Input changes to the payroll system i.e. salary changes, tax codes, third party payments etc and generating P45s for leavers.
• Process all payment information to ensure timely payments to employees.
• Run Weekly & Monthly payrolls. Prepare relevant reports.
• Maintain electronic payslip system.
• Maintain payroll records for pension purposes and administering changes where necessary.
• Dealing with general pay and tax queries.
• Undertake and manage the monthly and year-end payroll process and submissions, working to strict deadlines including producing the P60.
• Undertake all payroll submissions to HMRC and pension providers, on a timely basis, ensuring monies are paid over at the appropriate time.
• Act as first point of contact for clients when they have payroll queries, as well as with the external payroll software supplier.
• Implementing and maintaining procedures and processes in the Accounts department.

Profile

A successful candidate will have Payroll experience similar to the above & be available on short notice

Salary £25,000 - £32,000
