We are looking for a focused, smart, and industrious Junior Accountant to join our growing team. As a Junior Accountant, you will provide vital support to the senior accountant to help streamline the company's financial processes. Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain ledger; record and document company financial transactions.

• Oversee bank reconciliations and balance financial records.

• Update vendor information.

• Keep updated budgets; handle monthly payroll disbursements and invoices, and confirm expense vouchers and purchase orders.

• Check employee timesheets for accuracy.

• Prepare and present regular reports about company finances including budgets, debts, deficits, expenditures, and revenue.

• Review data to ensure that proper procedures are being followed.

• Conduct or assist with fixed asset audits.

• Calculate taxes and prepare tax returns in compliance with payment and reporting regulations.

• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

• Utilize database management systems to maintain up-to-date record keeping of financial documents.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, finance, math, or a related field

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables

• Knowledgeable and familiarity with Deltek Costpoint.

• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to company accounts

• Perform accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy

• Able to complete work to deadlines with little direct supervision

• Driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented

• Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills

• Superior verbal communication skills
