Creative Financial Staffing has been exclusively retained by a Private Equity backed E-Commerce Organization to identify a VP of Finance/CFO to join their team. This position is both hands-on/tactical and strategic in nature. The CFO will oversee a small team and manage the day-to-day accounting while still playing a key role in driving the strategic growth of the company. This position is located in Miami, Florida. The Company: Fast-growing e-commerce company transitioning from an entrepreneurial stage environment to a sophisticated financial organization.

The Growth: With the addition of a hands-on Executive Financial leader this organization will continue on its tremendous revenue and profitability growth trajectory. In the past year, their revenues have grown 100% and they project to double the size of the organization in the next 3-5 years.

Opportunity: As the first professional finance executive, the CFO will be charged with building out the accounting/finance infrastructure to support the run rate of the company.

The Exposure: The CFO will be expected to provide business and operational analysis, strategic insight, and tactical financial support to be an effective business partner and trusted adviser to the CEO and Private Equity Partners.

The CFO's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will oversee a team of 1-2 staff and managed all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the company including the preparation of the monthly financial package; management of GL accounts, annual audit and submission of government and related tax returns; and financial planning.
• Provide financial and operational metrics and analytics to executive management.
• Develop and implement business process improvement initiatives and strategies.
• Increase the company's ability to anticipate business issues and drive good decision-making through sound financial management.
• Further develop guidelines and processes corresponding to the rapid growth of the company.
• Continually review accounting policies and procedures to ensure that the company is compliant with GAAP and statutory accounting.
• Implement reliable forecasting tools (P&L, cash flow and balance sheet).
• Implement KPI's.

Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
• C.P.A., M.B.A. or master's degree in finance is preferred, but not required.
• 10+ years of total experience with at least 3 years working in a VP of Finance or CFO capacity.
• Must have hands-on experience working in an accounting and financial management function in a high-growth company.
• Experience in the e-commerce industry
• Experience working for a Private Equity backed company as a Portfolio CFO or VP of Finance
• Experience establishing and implementing process improvement initiatives within a high-growth environment.
• Experience developing and implementing metrics/KPIs around the organizations. functions.
• Experience implementing NetSuite preferred but not required.
