VP & Chief Financial Officer

Our Industrial manufacturing client located in Northwest Houston is seeking a VP & Chief Financial Officer.

US-based Manufacturing & Sales Company that is a subsidiary of a major Japanese company. Reports to the President & CEO (Japanese expatriate) and serves as a member of the executive leadership team (mixed US & expatriate). Serves as an officer of the company and primary financial advisor to executive & senior management on US-based financial and operational matters. Responsible for controlling, measuring, projecting and reporting the accurate financial condition of the Company.

Responsibilities:

• collaborating with TSB & TISS finance, planning, internal audit and other departments to ensure compliance company guidelines, policies, procedures and reporting requirements,
• developing, monitoring and maintaining effective financial policies & controls throughout the organization,
• accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards (USGAAP),
• development & execution of company budgets, forecasts, business plans, financial strategies & objectives,
• leadership & development of the US-based finance and accounting teams,
• providing accurate financial analysis & interpretation of business operations and developing recommendations for improvement of key business results,

Requirements:

• 20+ years of progressive and broad financial and financial management experience; experience in a US industrial manufacturing environment strongly preferred; prior significant public accounting experience strongly preferred,
• 5 years of financial leadership experience in a senior corporate or major division role required.
• CPA, Masters in Accounting/Finance or MBA required.
• Extensive familiarity with and application of USGAAP.
• Experience within an international (Japanese) business environment strongly preferred.
• Proven track record of collaboration and innovation.
• Experience as a change management leader.
• Familiarity with major ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.).
• Track record of highly effective communication, organizational, planning and analytical skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical financial information to a broad audience.
