Executive VP Chief Financial Officer
Serve as a key member of the executive team, partner with the CEO and other senior leaders, providing financial input and guidance on key topics and issues affecting the company. The CFO formulates and leads the financial and accounting strategies for the company including responsibility for tax strategies, tax structuring, investment, underwriting, and risk management. Secure and maintain effective relationships with key capital raising entities and partners for investments; create, implement, and manage effective and strategic asset management initiatives that create and build short and long-term value for the company, globally. Take ownership of financial and operational performance of the company, driving informed decision-making for senior leaders. Supervise the continuous improvement of the financial reporting and budgeting process through efficient design and education of department managers. Oversee the accounting functions of the company, in accordance with GAAP issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, and other relevant regulatory and advisory organizations, with financial management techniques and practices used within the hospitality industry and family-owned, and private companies. Attend executive leadership meetings, business reviews with ownership, and board meetings as requested; develops presentation materials and, if requested, makes the presentation(s). Evaluate the Finance division structure and team, and plan for continuous improvement of the team and department.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive leadership roles across several financial management functions and 5 years of experience acquired in a business of comparable (or larger) size and complexity. Experience in hospitality and/or real estate is preferred. College undergraduate degree required. Certified Public Accountant designation, MBA preferred. Must have exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Must be able to travel within the State of Hawaii, to US Mainland, and to international locations.
