Preferred Qualifications for the Junior Accountant:
- Our repeat client is a non profit in Mt. Vernon. Due to growth, they are looking to bring on a Junior Accountant on a contract to hire basis.
- This person will join their 5 person, tight knit accounting team
- The company is known as being very people oriented. Everyone is treated as an individual
- Some day to day tasks include processing accounts payable, working with vendors, handling accounts receivable and check deposits, handling credit card reconciliations, assisting with audit prep, and purchasing as needed
Overview of the Role:
- Pay rate: $22-25/hour depending on experience
- Hours: 9am-5pm but flexible to fit candidate's needs
- This position will be on a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must be local and able to commit to a full time work schedule.
- Reports to the Director of Finance
- Position will begin as soon as possible for the selected candidate after an interview
- For the right candidate, this temporary position will become permanent

Preferred Qualifications for the Junior Accountant:
- 1+ years' accounting experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance a plus
- Non profit experience is a plus
- Experience with Intaact, QuickBooks Online, and/or Bill.com a plus
- Intermediate Excel skills. Ability to create pivot tables a plus!
