We have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring, self-motivated and inquisitive graduate/AAT qualified individual to join us and complete a sponsored accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) whilst gaining both accounting and operational treasury exposure within our Finance team.  You will be looking to grow your career and understand the complexities of our business. 

You’ll support the team in accurate and timely monthly treasury reporting, preparing and completing statutory reporting, preparation of financial and management accounts, daily cash processes and practical exposure to more complex elements of financial accounting. 

This will be a 3-year rotation programme where you will progress across our finance and treasury teams covering financial controls and statutory reporting; management reporting; treasury accounting and treasury operations. As part of the opportunity, you will be supported to complete a CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification.   

What does it take to be an Anglian Water Finance Associate? 

• Recent graduate or AAT qualified accountant looking to progress their CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification 
• A strong analytical mind-set combined with accomplished problem-solving and logical reasoning capabilities
• Good numeracy skills, with attention to detail and high quality output
• Ability to critically analyse and provide feedback in a constructive and empathetic manner
• Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing
• Flexible and open-minded - receptive to change and new ideas
• Self-motivated, inquisitive and eager to learn
• Interest in financial markets and the impact of finance on a business
• Good interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team and build collaborative working partnerships with others
