What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Accounts Payable Clerk II who can do more for all Mohawk Flooring North America brands across residential, distributor and builder multifamily divisions.

This position will be responsible with providing clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization. Applies intermediate skills in performing any combination of keying, posting, and verifying duties to maintain primary financial data for use in payment, documenting, and reporting accounts payable activities. Performs duties under general supervision, referring only more complex issues to higher levels for resolution

What you'll do:

  • Analyze invoices and purchase orders to verify there are no discrepancies or issues on all items submitted for payment.
  • Verifies appropriate charges, approvals, coding, and payment terms are used.
  • Enters data into the financial system from source documents to ensure the accurate and timely payment of the Company's obligations.
  • Responds to general inquiries from team members regarding invoices or payments.
  • Interacts with vendors and various internal groups to resolve both routine and non-routine problems concerning discrepant, incomplete, or conflicting invoices.
  • May provide support to team members in resolving routine work-related issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


What you have:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency required.
  • Proficient data entry and computer skills (Microsoft Office, specifically Excel)
  • Experience in SAP is a must (3-5 years of experience preferred)
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of job-related work experience.

  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written, and interpersonal to interact effectively with internal and external business contacts.

  • Ability to perform financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divide into all units of measure, includes whole numbers, decimals, and common fractions.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in accordance with Company standards.
  • Must be an effective team member.
