Hello, we are looking for an Accountant to join our team in the medical device industry. This temporary role is needed for six months as we work through integration and software conversion.
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, and Excel. Epicor, SAP, or similar ERP product and productivity software desired. Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 2-5 years of related experience.
The position will support our Director of Accounting and Senior Accountant. The position will be focused on the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensuring transactions are in accordance with Finance policies and procedures, along with associated general ledger and accounting functions to include account reconciliations, fixed asset and inventory tracking, month-end closing, and sales tax reporting. The position will also be trained as back-up for other accounting functions such as accounts receivable and will perform special projects as requested.
o Daily entry of accounts payable invoices, review and match with products received as needed
o Respond to supplier inquiries on statements and invoice discrepancies
o Review of Mobile Service Provider invoices for payment. Compared with end customer data for invoicing. Align with Customer Service and Sales Support to ensure the reps get proper commissions and all invoicing is approved.
o Ensure proper filing of all documentation
o Perform associated general ledger and accounting functions to include account reconciliations, fixed asset and inventory tracking, month-end closing, and sales tax reporting, as requested.
o Act as back up to Senior Accountant
o Assist Accounting Management with any projects assigned
