Job summary
Oversees accounts payable recordkeeping, and supervises recording of amounts due and verification of invoices. Ensures expense coding, voucher preparation, and check issuance are accomplished accurately and timely. Produces various reports for management including accounts payable register.

Job Requirements:
Summary of essential job functions

 Maintains/monitors department workload & employee schedules

 Ensures adequate coverage of all duties is maintained in order to meet daily deadlines & acts as back-up to cover staff shortages

 Responsible for compliance with established departmental procedures & processes; utilizes appropriate departmental checklist & standard forms

 Maintains a thorough understanding of departmental procedures & company policy

 Directs invoice processing & verification, expense coding, & drafting of payment checks or vouchers

 Suggests improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit

 Answers vendor inquiries as necessary

 Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, & corporate accounts payable files

 Assists in monthly closings

 Prepares analysis of accounts, as required

 Performs all other related duties as assigned Requirements : Other Skills/Abilities

 Must have strong problem solving & quality control skills

 Working understanding of bookkeeping procedures

Minimum requirements

 Bachelor's degree & 1-2 years of job related experience
