Our client is a well-established boutique accounting firm with a fresh and vibrant approach to business. An opportunity has become available for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join the firm and become part of their team of 12.

Our client provides professional business advice and taxation solutions to their clients.

Our client sets itself apart by not working off time-sheets, so the stress of time and fee pressure does not exist. This role is based in Murarrie (just off the Gateway Motorway) and comes with free parking.

The Role:

The ideal candidate is a self-starter and action orientated. Of course, love numbers and should have genuine interest in providing solutions and best in class service to clients. Ideally, you enjoy being a relationship builder and thrive in an environment that doesn't take itself too seriously.

As an Intermediate Accountant, you will report directly into one of the dynamic business Partners who's part of the leadership team.

Specifically, your role will entail the following:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships and Sole Traders
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
• Preparation of Individual Tax Returns
• Assist Partners with preparing advice on tax and business issues
• Management of compliance requirements for a broad range of clients and businesses
• Liaising with the ATO and ASIC as required
• Working with the Partners and other team members to complete client work
• Contributing your passion, enthusiasm and ideas to our growing business

You:

You will have met the following criteria to be successful:

• Have relevant Tertiary education - Chartered Accountants, CPA (completed or close to)
• Must have working experience with Xero Accounting software as the business is built on this platform
• 4+ years' working experience in an accounting firm
• Be a great communicator
• Be a problem solver
• Be approachable yet professional
• Have a well-developed sense of ethics
• Demonstrable experience in the job requirements
• Be available and follow through in supporting your colleagues and clients
• Have a collaborative and systematic approach to daily tasks
• Have full working rights in Australia!
