To help us continue our journey we are looking for a highly strategic and analytical minded People Data and Advanced Analytics Analyst to support the P&C team with insights and advanced analytics related to the colleague strategy on a fixed term contract for 12 months.

Te Kaiurungi | About the Role

As a People Data and Advanced Analytics Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering high quality People data and information that enables better decision making about BNZ employees and contributes to organisational improvements. Leading a team of analysts and reporting experts within the People Operations Team, you will help to develop and maintain a sustainable People Reporting Framework focusing on improved data, insights, and analytics.

You will also be involved in:
  • Advising Chief People Officer and People Leadership Team by providing in-depth analysis and insights on strategic initiatives covering Talent, Culture, Diversity and Performance & Reward.
  • Understanding BNZ's strategic direction to inform requirements and lead solutioning.
  • Working with other People Analysts to build on existing PowerBI dashboards to enable basic self-service for People data insights.
  • Conducting ad hoc research projects in relation to strategic objectives as identified by the GM of Colleague Strategy. These may include working with other disciplines within P&C including Talent Acquisition, Talent, Culture and Capability.

Ō Pūkenga | About You

You'll be an experienced data analyst with a passion for parsing complex business questions and identifying how these can be answered with data and statistical methods. You will bring excellent communication skills with a drive for communicating tricky mathematical concepts in a business-oriented way. With a background in Business Intelligance or Data Analytics type roles, you will have the ability to synthesise multiple sources of information, multiple objectives and requirements.

You will also possess:
  • Working knowledge of PowerBI and/or Tableau
  • Strong data manipulation, data transformation, and analysis experience
  • Working knowledge of R, Python or SPSS for statistical modelling
  • Proven experience with Senior stakeholder engagement
  • Proven experience soliciting requirements and delivering actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail with a premium on accuracy
  • A growth mindset, willing to learn and develop, always striving for better ways of doing things
