Experienced Bookkeeper required to work for well-established clothing wholesaler. Clothing industry experience is desirable but not mandatory.
Our client is an established wholesaler of quality Men's Branded Suits distributing throughout Australia and New Zealand.
They are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. This role works closely with the Credit Controller, Financial Controller and General Manager.
Duties:
FINANCIALS
The ideal candidate will have accounts experience in all areas of accounts payable (local and overseas) as well as reasonable accounts receivable experience. Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel is essential as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.

They are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join the team on a full-time permanent basis. This role works closely with the Credit Controller, Financial Controller and General Manager.
Duties:
FINANCIALS
- Ability to prepare accounts to Trial Balance using a fully integrated ERP system, ie., Receivables/Payables/Cash Management system
- Creating journals
- Maintains System Calendar
- General Ledger account reconciliations
- Authorise payments
- Check prices and post invoices on system.
- Prepare weekly and monthly payment schedules
- Pay via EFT banking system or by credit card online
- Reconcile and check balances to supplier statements
- File paid invoices
- Lodge monthly GST returns
- Prepare overseas payments and foreign currency trade loans.
- Maintain various import schedules:
- Liase with and forward shipping documents to customs agent
- Save soft copies of all documents and maintain physical shipment and fabric files
- Buy foreign currency used to pay overseas suppliers and maintain schedule
- Maintain Accounts Payable Foreign Currency Adjustment File
- Download bank statements daily
- Post all payments
- Reconcile bank accounts to bank statement and general ledger
- Maintain Daily Cashflow spreadsheet
- Run month end reports for Accounts Payable
- Run month end reports for Cash Management
- Close and open monthly periods
- Prepare fortnightly pays for approximately 15 people - currently using MYOB Single Touch payroll
- Lodge PAYGW fortnightly
- Lodge monthly payroll tax returns
- Submit monthly super contributions
- Submit annual Worker's Compensation (Work Care) return
- Submit annual FBT return
- Email EOY Payment Summaries
