SUMMARY
Records payments to customers' accounts and maintains accounts receivable records by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to manage a large account portfolio.
• Review and analyze assigned accounts to ensure outstanding balances are in compliance with terms
• Execute account reconciliations and chargeback resolution
• Research and report payment deductions to the customer to ensure the efficient and timely resolution of customer deductions.
• Escalate collection activities as required by business circumstances.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the issues involved and proactively develop solutions
• Recommend best method of collection on delinquent accounts and initiate processes with the Credit Manager's approval.
• Contribute and participate in meetings with management and/or customers to advise and make recommendations on risk mitigation and/or other issues impacting the timely collection of receivables
• Prepare and distribute weekly, monthly, annual and, as needed, ad hoc reporting

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

AUTHORITY
Has the responsibility and authority to identify, report and provide suggestions or solutions in the event of nonconformity by notifying supervisor.

Shares the responsibility of all employees for the quality of products and services delivered. As part of his/her responsibility, the employee is expected to comply with the policies, procedures and process work instructions that directly relate to his/her processes, task and work assignments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associates degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be proficient in MS Office and have the ability to type 45 wpm and knowledge of a 10 key adding machine by touch.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, e-mails and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
Must have the ability to work well in a group environment, follow instructions, and focus on solving conflict, not blaming others.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
