The Accounting Manager will be directly responsible for accounting and provide support in critical areas of business. The incumbent will provide support through a combination of strong technical and reporting skills, completion of work with high degree of diligence and accuracy and timeliness.

Being a subject matter expert, the Accounting Manager will also be responsible for supporting the peer leaders as well their own team in upholding a positive and productive work culture. Being Accounting Manager you set high standards of worth ethic, high standards of service, mindfulness and quality of work through your approach. You will be key in helping Greenovative Solutions achieve key initiatives and goals and become an industry leader.

The company uses ODOO ERP System, please mention your experience with ERP systems.
  • Review of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
  • Responsible for Inter-company transactions (as we are a group of 3 companies)
  • Lead financial period end procedures and perform month end and quarter-end close processes (External Audit)
  • Responsible for the completion or review of Tax compliance for CANADA AND USA
  • Responsible for reconciliation and maintenance of GL accounts , including but nor limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, accord liabilities, intracompany transactions
  • Responsible for completion of Payroll, deductions at source, GST/QST/HST returns
  • Responsible for government remittances, filings, and year end tax forms
  • Responsible for internal reporting of the procedures and accuracy of monthly accounting data including but not limited to Cashflow Planning, Budgeting, Financial Reporting
  • Support internal controls as per the requirements
  • Provide support in handling the project financials
  • Responsible for external auditors including but not limited to Government Auditors, Banks
  • Support business units and the accounting department
  • Utilizing Odoo and ensuring all the reports generated are accurate and as per the requirement
  • Identify area of improvement and cost cutting strategies
  • Manage and maintain the reconciliation software
  • Report on monthly KPI's
  • Propose changes and to ensure the optimal use of the ODOO system
  • Leverage team accordingly and ensure key processes, controls , accounting rationale, and policies are documented
  • Manage and adhere to the departmental budget
  • Responsible for day to day operations and providing support in overall performance of the team
  • Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers to develop resolutions
  • Ad hoc support when needed
  • Working hours will be as per Canadian Eastern time zone(Afternoons to Late evenings)

Must have
  • University Degree and Accounting/ finance designation (MBA/CPA/CMA/CGA/CA/CFA)
  • Strong financial background with 7 years of relevant experience required
  • MANDATORY experience with ERP Systems with respect to financial handling and reporting (Experience in Odoo will be a huge asset)
  • Experience with Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, advanced skills required
  • Must be tech savvy
  • Applied knowledge of Canada and USA Taxation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Exemplary Oral and written communication in English (French is an asset)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify, resolve issues with a good professional judgement
  • Excellent team player with ability to build relationship with all departments at all organizational levels
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to excise discretion
