A Graduate Trainee Accountant vacancy being recruited for a reputable business in Liverpool city centre.

Client Details

This family owned business is one of the largest construction companies of its type in the UK. They deliver top class projects for customers and have received numerous accolades for doing so. Following an internal promotion, this role has come about for a graduate to take on a development role and work within a business that is looking to support their growth and support with qualifications.

Description

As Graduate Trainee Accountant, you will be part of the finance and treasury functions and ensure deadlines are met. You will take on duties such as:

  • Preparing management information reports and supporting month end processes for management accounts production
  • Cash reporting and bank reconciliations
  • Responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Short and long term forecasting
  • Assisting in preparation of year end reports and supporting audits
  • Developing and maintaining financial systems, processes and controls
  • Developing strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

Profile

The successful applicant for the Graduate Trainee Accountant must have:

  • Accountancy (or related) degree - 2:1 minimum or above
  • Experience part time alongside you degree or during an intern year would be desirable
  • Drive and ambition to continue further qualification on to CIMA/ACCA is essential
  • Excellent communication skills in order to build good relationships
  • Proactive, confident and personable attributes
  • Hard working attitude
