Staff G/L Accountant

Salary: $65k-$70k

Location: Scottsdale/Hybrid

Vaco is looking for a team-oriented Finance professional that has 2 years of G/L accounting experience to join a specialized public safety client of ours. They are looking for someone that has done account analysis, reconciliation, journal entries and various ad hoc financial reporting tasks.

Ideal Profile/Qualifications:

• BS in Accounting or Finance required
• 2-3 years of G/L accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• High attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA (planning on) or with CPA

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, code, and enter journal entries into system
• Analyze and review trial balance
• Prepare account analyses and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, policy, and procedure change, and improve processes
• Positively influence data integrity and preparation of financial information - ensuring completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and accessibility
• Coordinate responses to audit/auditor requests for supporting documentation
• Form good business relationships within immediate team as well as across organization
• Assist in Internal Control procedures to ensure that assets are protected
