Opportunity to join a well-reputable banking institution in their Risk Management team!
Tyler Wren has been tasked with assisting our client, a large banking institution, to find a Manager - Risk Capability to join their growing team. You will report directly to the Head of Risk Transformation and play an important role in the future of Risk Management.

The Role:

As the Manager - Risk Capability, you are required to have strong delivery experience, sound judgment, and influencing skills. You will provide expert advice to facilitate a strong, enabling, risk capability framework that supports the risk function to strengthen risk management. The Risk team works to facilitate the resolution of complex Risk issues impacting the business. You will be required to provide learning and development to the wider Enterprise Risk team so you must be confident to produce solid advice.
  • You will work collaboratively across the Risk teams to develop a robust Risk Capability Framework.
  • Present and provide content analysis for senior stakeholder review and approval.
  • Work closely with the Head of Risk Transformation in setting and planning the strategy for the ongoing professional development of Risk Capability across 3LoD.
  • Apply education industry best practice techniques and learning methodologies through the business learning platforms and solutions.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the Risk Capability Framework and supporting assets.
  • Work with the learning & development team to provide training material, online content to deliver Risk Learning programs and ensure Risk capability programmes align with broader organisational culture and capability programmes.
  • Monitor effectiveness of capability programs and drive improvement through relevant channels such as working with vendors to improve or retire redundant programs
  • Work with various internal and external stakeholders/business partners and industry bodies.
About You:
  • Experience in applying capability frameworks and capability uplift techniques
  • You will be a recognised subject matter expert and thought leader in your area of specialisation, responsible for raising awareness and influencing risk management disciplines
  • 3+ years in a Risk role or relevant business discipline
  • Banking experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with, consult and advise senior management, influence the business to ensure risk management practices are embedded
  • You will have strong presentation, network, and governance authoring skills and be well versed in organisation culture, training needs analysis, and capability frameworks
  • Proven experience related to capability frameworks, risk training, organisational culture and organisational-wide programs of influence
  • Communication skills will be second to none, steering the team and key business partners towards the desired outcomes and deadlines
