Page Personnel is working in partnership with a leading manufacturing business in their field, to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join the team.
Client Details
This company is part of a wider group and has performed exceptionally well during the past year. They are in a growth phase and are in a position to recruit a dynamic Assistant Management Accountant in what will be a progressive role. The FC is very keen to get in someone who is AAT qualified or studying early stages of CIMA/ACCA and progress them into becoming a fully qualified accountant through extensive training and study support.
Description
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role as Assistant Management Accountant will support the accountancy function in producing and developing key reports, closing off the month end ledgers and also overseeing transactional processing requirements. Your day to day duties will include:
- Assisting in preparing monthly management accounts to deadlines
- Posting accruals and prepayments with in depth analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Flash reports for forecasted costs and working on ways to making savings to increase profitability
- Daily and weekly forecasts
- Assisting in preparing budgets
- Margin analysis and product costing
- Supporting the accounts payable department
Profile
The successful applicant to the Assistant Management Accountant role must have the following skills and experience:
- Actively studying towards CIMA/ACCA or AAT qualified with a view to start studying soon
- Ambitions to progress and become qualified
- Strong Excel skills and able to do v look ups, pivot tables
- Experience of month end processes, with knowledge of accruals and prepayments essential
- Desire to learn and develop
- Good stakholder management skills
